New Beginnings: A Foundation for a Secure Future

Learn life-long skills that will help you plan and prepare for a secure future for you and your family.  New Beginnings is a six-week course designed as a program for family financial fitness.  You can take control of your finances, get out of debt, improve your income and establish a solid financial base for your life.  Learn to understand budgeting, spending, borrowing, credit, banking, saving and tax responsibilities with an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC).

  • Six class sessions, one hour each
  • Up to three one-on-one counseling sessions
  • New Beginnings manual
  • Recognition and Certificate of Completion

When and Where:

Each class session is only one hour long with time at the end for questions or individual counseling.  Sign up for the session that will best fit your life!  To confirm your attendance please call or email our Program Manager, Morgan Marks at or at 406-204-7314.

1. Mondays, January 13th- February 17th 2020 at 5:30pm.

2. Mondays, March 9th, 16th, 23rd, and April 6th, 13th, and 20th 2020 at 5:30pm.

All classes will be held in the Prescott Room at the Helena YWCA, 501 North Park Avenue, Helena, MT 59601.


If you are a participant in Family Promise of Greater Helena, Helena Habitat for Humanity, YWCA, or any other United Way program, your cost is just $10.  If a couple, both members must attend but cost remains $10.
